Oral Fluid Toxicology

Luxor offers one of the largest oral fluid panels to ensure specimen type is not a limiting factor when understanding a patient’s drug use. Luxor’s oral fluid method is proven accurate at low clinical cutoffs.

Methamphetamine Isomers

Luxor Scientific offers a reflex test to determine the isomers of methamphetamine. Methamphetamine can be a stimulant drug of abuse or a prescription drug to treat attention deficit hyperactivity, obesity, and other conditions. This test provides definitive results determining the ratio of D and L isomers in the urine or oral fluid specimens.

The L isomer is identified in patients that have used over-the-counter nasal decongestant. The D isomer can be found in weight loss drugs along with the illicit form of methamphetamine.
