Luxor offers comprehensive testing for prescription medications and illicit drugs detectable in both urine and oral fluid. Our LC-MS/MS technology coupled with proprietary methods of freeing and concentrating drugs and metabolites provides highly sensitive and accurate toxicology test results. Having clear and consistent insight into the medication or other substances inside a patient’s body can be vital in planning or monitoring the progress of their treatment. Luxors’ reports are user-friendly to ensure results are easy to interpret.

An increasing number of patients are taking CBD products for pain, anxiety, and inflammatory conditions. Patient can test positive for THC after using CBD products. Traditional laboratory practices only inform physicians if THC and it metabolites are present in a patient’s sample. Luxor Scientific has developed an industry leading algorithm to differentiate CBD based usage from usage of other cannabis containing THC.
Methamphetamine can be a stimulant drug of abuse or a prescription drug to treat attention deficit hyperactivity, obesity, and other conditions. This test provides definitive results determining the ratio of D and L isomers in the urine or oral fluid specimens. The L isomer is identified in patients that have used over-the-counter nasal decongestant. The D isomer can be found in weight loss drugs along with the illicit form of methamphetamine.

Urine Confirm is a test used to detect if a patient’s urine sample has been substituted with synthetic urine. Results help ensure providers have the best knowledge on a patient’s medication adherence. Urine Confirm tests for markers in human urine to establish authenticity of the urine specimen, which allows providers to detect patients attempting to simulate compliance.
Luxor Scientific detects thebaine, a compound only found in poppy seeds. If thebaine is present, it is possible that poppy seed consumption caused the positive morphine result. In this way, Luxor can help differentiate between heroin, morphine, and poppy seed usage.
Molecular results, including antibiotic resistance, can provide clinicians with the information needed to prescribe the right treatment plan the first time.
